Back in her college days at the University of Denver, Lisa and her adventurous friends discovered an ancient tradition known as the ‘pencil test’ for pregnancy or ‘ring test’, a gender revealing technique perfected by an old wives’ tale from Grandma.  It involves using a pencil or a ring and hanging it over the wrist to observe its movements to predict gender.  Driven by curiosity, they diligently used this method and soon discovered that the "pencil test" or "ring test" demonstrated remarkable accuracy.

Over the following, during countless bridal and baby, they would repeatedly perform 'pencil.' Hours were devoted to testing it on one another. Kirsti, Stephanie, Kathy, and Nettie—ultimately had the exact number of children and genders that the test had predicted. The results were astonishing, and its mystical powers seemed indisputable!

As Lisa learned, the object placed over the wrist acts as a pendulum.  Dowsing is an old tradition used for thousands of years to answer questions by using a person's energy. 

Driven by a for enjoyment and intrigue, Lisa realized she could not this discovery to herself She undertook a to share remarkable concept with the world, leading to creation of the Gender Revealer.
